American rapper Kanye West will not face charges for throwing a woman’s cellphone away during a heated exchange en route to his kids’ basketball game last January.
The Ventura Co. The District Attorney’s Office revealed on Wednesday March 15, 2023 that the cellphone had only suffered ‘minor damage’ to its $30 protective case.

According to further reports by TMZ, the woman (a female photographer) whose property was damaged then declined to press further charges against Kanye West.
Kanye West was the subject in a police battery investigation after the dad-of-four children alleged to have thrown the woman’s phone out of her hand after he asked not to be filmed.
