Talented Nigerian singer Divine Ikubor popularly known in music circles as Rema has explained why he had to forgo his admission at the University of Lagos (UNILAG).

The ‘Calm Down’ crooner who opened up during an interview with Kiss FM radio said that he had to abandon his UNILAG admission because of the last 8-month-long strike embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).

Rema who had announced via his Twitter account that he gained admission into UNILAG in January 2022 noted that he informed his mother about his decision because she encouraged him to get a bachelor’s degree.
