The news of the death of famous Rock n Roll artiste Anna Mae Bullock aka Tina Turner has sent scores of music enthusiasts, buffs, lovers and fans alike into a state of mourning.

On May 24, 2023, the news of the death of Tina Turner’s death whose music earned her the title of the queen of the Rock & Roll genre was reported online.

Reports say the late musician who later became a pop culture icon died quietly in her sleep at the age of 83.

“Tina Turner, the ‘Queen of Rock ’n’ Roll’ has died peacefully today at the age of 83 after a long illness in her home in Küsnacht near Zurich, Switzerland,” the statement from her family reads.

1.) Tina Turner (born Anna Mae Bullock; November 26, 1939 – May 24, 2023) was an American-born and naturalized Swiss[a] singer.

2.) Known as the “Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll”, she rose to prominence as the lead singer of the Ike & Tina Turner Revue before launching a successful career as a solo performer. 

3.) Turner began her career with Ike Turner’s Kings of Rhythm in 1957. Under the name Little Ann, she appeared on her first record, “Boxtop”, in 1958.

6.) In the 1980s, Turner launched “one of the greatest comebacks in music history”.
