Talented Nigerian singer and songwriter Ikechukwu Eric Ahiauzu better known as Ric Hassani has opened up on his rumoured love affair with singer Waje Iruobe.
Recall that in January 2021, Waje had taken to her Instagram page to share the photo of her and Ric Hassani wherein she could be seen spending time with the 32-year-old musician.
In the picture, Waje is seen romantically pinching Hassani’s nose while sitting on a couch as he rested on her lap.

The picture sparked relationship rumours at the time but Hassani has now, in response to rumours that linked him with Waje, asserted that they were untrue.
He reaffirmed during an interview with Hot FM Lagos that they are not a couple and that he is fine with them just being friends.
He said, “No, this was completely Waje’s idea, we found out about our rumoured love affair at the same time.
“Waje is a good friend of mine, and I’m fine with her being my friend.” Ric Hassani added.
