American actress Regina King’s only son, Ian Alexander Jr. has committed suicide.
His family in a statement expressed their devastation at the sudden demise of the young man.
“Our family is devastated at the deepest level by the loss of Ian. He is such a bright light who cares so deeply about the happiness of others. Our family asks for respectful consideration during this private time. Thank you,” the statement read.

Ian was until his death a Disk Jockey and King’s only child with her record producer ex-husband Ian Alexander Sr.
Ian who died at the age of 26 was also known for always accompanying his award-winning mum, Regina King to the red carpet of several events.
