Troubled American singer Britney Spears has revealed that she is still healing after scoring a major victory in her lengthy conservatorship battle, fueling rumours she won’t perform again.

Recall that last week Britney Spears officially removed her father Jamie Spears as the conservator of her daughter’s $60 million estate after no fewer than 13 years in charge.

A judge in Los Angeles on Wednesday said during the latest court hearing in the long-running dispute that it was in Spears’ best interests to remove her father from the legal agreement, adding that the “current situation is untenable and reflects a toxic environment”.

A hearing on whether to terminate the conservatorship entirely has also been set for later in the year.

Days after the victory, the singer shared a photo of a tree in an Instagram post and explained that she’s taking it easy as her new life begins.

“Although there is change and things to celebrate in my life, I still have a lot of healing to do !!!’ she wrote while enjoying a holiday with fiancé Sam Asghari.

“Thankfully I have a good support system and am taking time to understand it’s ok to slow down and breathe !!!!! Only through self love I can pray … love … and support others in return !!!!’
