The death toll arising from the tragic Astroworld music festival has risen to 10 victims after the first night of the two-day music concert staged in the city of Houston descended into chaos.
A report by CNN reveals that a 9-year-old boy identified as Ezra Blount by his family who was injured at the Astroworld Festival died Sunday, according to family attorney Ben Crump.
Ezra Blount had been in a medically induced coma in an attempt to overcome brain, liver and kidney trauma, according to a statement from Crump.
“The Blount family tonight is grieving the incomprehensible loss of their precious young son. This should not have been the outcome of taking their son to a concert, what should have been a joyful celebration. Ezra’s death is absolutely heartbreaking. We are committed to seeking answers and justice for the Blount family. But tonight we stand in solidarity with the family, in grief, and in prayer,” the statement from Crump said.

This came after the lawsuits filed against American rapper Travis Scott and the organisers of the tragic Astroworld music festival by survivors increased from 92 to 108 according to latest reports.
The total number of suits filed against the event’s producer, Live Nation, by survivors reached 108 by the time Harris County District Court closed over the weekend.
“The deadly crowd surge and its aftermath unfolded right in front of Webster and Graham. Nonetheless, they continued their performance while medical personnel struggled to reach the numerous unconscious and injured concertgoers,” alleged Niaara Goods, who claims she was injured in the middle of the crowd and is suing for $1 million.
The suits target not only Live Nation and Scott, but also rapper Drake who appeared on stage with Scott during the mayhem and one of them claims women were s3xually assaulted by crowd members during the crush.
