BBNAIJA S6: ‘Fan favourite’ Whitemoney emerges winner of 2021 ‘Shine Ya Eye’ edition

The Grand Finale of the Sixth Season of 2021 Big Brother Naija (BBN) ‘Shine Ya Eye’ edition, took place on Sunday, October 3rd, 2021, to the delight of scores of watching fans in Nigeria, Africa and beyond, with Whitemoney emerging as the final winner.

Made Kuti (son of Femi Kuti) was the first performer on the night with former BBNaija female housemate Avala, slated as the next performer on the night, and to the surprise of many was, Laycon, the winner of the 2020 ‘Lockdown’ edition became the third performer, dishing out two of his latest songs.

Emmanuel finished in sixth position after garnering the lowest votes in the last week of voting for contestants in the popular reality TV show, with his exit confirmed by the show host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.

After he exited the house, the contestant from Akwa Ibom State said; “I am surprised and shocked that I got this far in the reality TV show.

When asked what the future holds for him after eviction, Emmanuel said, “Basically, everything about modelling and lifestyle.”

The second housemate that was evicted from the Big Brother house was Angel Agnes Smith, whose quest to emerge winner of the show was cut short on the night of the Grand Finale of BBNaija Season Six.

And when asked by the show host, Ebuka, what she will venture into in the near future, Angel said; “I will establish my mental health blog, see up my spa, bring my younger brother to live with me and delve into real estate business.”

Cross, became the third housemate to be evicted from the ‘Shine Ya Eye’ edition leaving Pere, Liqourose and Whitemoney as the last three in contention to win the grand prize of the reality TV show.

When probed by show host Ebuka if his time in the house was worth the while, Cross said; “I wanted to be top three but I am good with the position I finished in. Before I came to the house that was my target but I didn’t make it. But I am good. About my relationship with Angel, we are just cool with each other and nothing more.

“I love entertainment. I am going to stick with it, I love business, and I am going to do something and I also love politics. Trust me; I am going to hang around the corridors of Abuja to pull some strings.

The fourth housemate to be evicted from the reality TV show was Pere Egbe, (born in Warri, Delta State) ‘The Dark Horse’ popularly known as ‘The General’ (Muhammadu Pere).

When asked about his future plans when probed by Ebuka, Pere said that he will spend his time proving himself more as an actor and a musician.

“For me it will be Nollywood all the way and I am also open to music; I don’t want that latent talent (music) to go to waste.”

That left two contestants; Liquorose (female) and Whitemoney (male) as the last housemates left in the Grand Finale of the much-followed ‘Shine Ya Eye’ edition of the reality TV show.

Lojay and Sars were also not left out of the performances on the night of the Grand Finale as they both mounted the stage to perform their banging new track titled ‘Monalisa’ to the delight of the watching audience.

Eventually, Hazel Oyeze popularly known as Mazi Whitemoney, endorsed and supported by Instagram celebrity blogger Tunded Ednut, comedian BrodaShaggie, Nollywood Jnr pope, Yul Edochie, Stephen Declan and Nollywood producer Jeta Amata, among many others was announced the winner of  the N90 Million grand prize of the 2021 edition of the popular reality TV show.

Whitemoney won the contest after he garnered 47 percent of the total votes cast, with Liquorose emerging as the first runner-up with 29.9 percent of total votes, while Pere Egbe finished as the second runner-up.

The lucky winner (Whitemoney) will smile home with N90 million worth of prizes including; N30 million cash, an apartment, and a brand new car after the contest which recorded over one billion votes cast by viewers during the three-month show.
