Popular Nigerian singer David Adeleke better known as Davido shared on social media an update regarding the donation of the N250m to orphanages.
Recall that the singer had appealed to his friends and fans to donate one million Naira to him.
He realised a huge sum of 200 million naira and added an extra sum of 50 million naira which he donated to orphanages across the country.
A committee was set up to ensure smooth transfer of the funds.
He shared the update on his Instagram stories with official dates for each event.
“Verification is ongoing and reports will be out by Dec. 15th. Selection and disbursement by 18th/19 and the Press release should be 20th December. 852 without orphanage names. 382 with orphanage names. “
“The national union of Orphanages in Nigeria sent the list of orphanage homes within their coverage which to some extent is helping us in the verification process. God bless. We rise by lifting others. #Update,”
