Nigerian singer David Adeleke, popularly known in music circles as Davido, has spoken about the sacrifices the older generation of Afrobeats stars made in the past, which are working for the younger generation.
The ‘Skelewu’ crooner touched on the sacrifices made by the older generation when he appeared on the latest edition of The Bridge alongside Real Madrid French midfielder Aurelian Thouameni, Cindy Bruna, and François-Henry Bennahmias.
Davido said that the likes of 2Baba, D’banj, and P-Square paved the way for what the younger generation of Nigerian musicians are enjoying at the moment.

“What them 2Face, D’banj, and P-Square sacrificed for us is what we are enjoying now. What we are sacrificing now is for the next generation to come and be bigger because the music is only going to grow bigger.” Davido said.
