Popular Nollywood actor Deyemi Okanlawon has taken to his official social media account to apologise to Eti-Osa House of Representative-elect Thaddeus Attah following heavy backlash.

Recall that Deyemi had noted that he voted for Bankole Wellington aka Banky W who he believes would have been the best candidate for the job of representing the people.

Deyemi also noted in his post that he is worried about the role which tribal sentiments, cyber bullying and herd mentality on all sides has played in our electoral process also noted that he would want nothing more than for the people’s wish to prevail.

The actor has now apologised to Thaddeus Attah as well as those who were offended with his post in a video message which was updated on his Instagram page.

“In the early hours of today, in the spirit of the season, I wrote an open letter to the HOR-elect of Eti-Osa Local Government area, Mr. Thaddeus Attah. I admit I could have chosen better words and I could have not allowed the frustration that I have felt about this past week to affect the message that I was trying to pass across. So I apologize to Mr. Attah and everyone who felt I was overreaching. I would now try to focus on the core of what I am saying so it’s clear and can’t be misconstrued in any way. I live in Eti-Osa”. Deyemi said.
