DJ Switch denies fleeing Nigeria to seek asylum in Canada, clears air about whereabout

Nigerian disc jockey, Obianuju Catherine Udeh, popularly known in entertainment circles as DJ Switch has cleared the air about her whereabouts since the #Endsars protest against police brutality and bad governance in Nigeria which took place in the year 2020.

The talented celebrity DJ who made headlines when she live-streamed the shooting of innocent protesters during the #EndSARS protest has made it clear that she never sought asylum in Canada, as a lot of people thought.

DJ Switch in a post on her Instagram story post urged the Nigerian media to verify news before spreading it, and further stated that she is set to relocate outside the country and it isn’t Canada she is going to.

She wrote; “But let me say this… news outlets and bloggers, I know traffic is the game but when you don’t really investigate properly and run with things that you don’t know for sure or have verified, you sincerely hurt and, in some cases, cause serious complications for people in ‘real life’. I’ve been cooking in a house for months.

“I never got asylum in Canada. I didn’t even step foot into Canada. I didn’t even speak to anyone who claimed they spoke to me on the issue. Anyways, I will leave it there. By the way, it is now that I am traveling… and not to Canada! Love!
