The release date of the tenth installment of the ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise will be delayed for one month.
The new date for the release of ‘Fast and Furious 10’ is now May 19, 2023 as opposed to the scheduled April 7, 2023.
This is set to be the second-to-last ‘Fast and Furious’ movie as Universal Pictures announced in October 2020 that the end of the franchise will be split into two parts.
This delay means that the film will premiere around the same time as Marvel’s ‘Guardians of the Galaxy 3’ and ‘The Little Mermaid’.
Although there has been no reason for the date shift, the cast and crew testify that the movie is worth the wait.

According to Tyrese Gibson, who plays the character of Roman Pierce, the new adventures of the movie will please die-hard fans. The actor revealed;
“I have definitely asked some questions about 10 and 11. It has been confirmed we are going to shoot back-to-back and get both in the can. Which is interesting. I’m hearing that we’re going to touch a lot of continents between the two. I cannot say where, but a lot. The higher-ups that are involved in this franchise are specifically aware of the die-hard fans and supporters around the world. We all carry a particular torch of responsibility and knowing there is a beast, and we need to feed that beast and give them what they want, what they love, and what they’re used to.”
Vin Diesel has also called on Dwayne Johnson to reprise his role as Hobbs in the franchise and ‘fulfill his destiny’. The possibility of the two actors working together again after their long term feud is quite unlikely.
Justin Lin will return as director for both of the final installments. Actors from previous installments like Michelle Rodriguez, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Jordana Brewster, Sung Kang, and Nathalie Emmanuel are expected to reprise their roles. It’s not known whether or not John Cena will reprise his role as Toretto brother Jakob, nor if Charlize Theron will return as franchise villain Cipher.
