Forbes names Mo Abudu the 98th most powerful woman in the world

Founder of EbonyLife Media and entrepreneur Mo Abudu has been named as the 98th most powerful woman by Forbes.

Forbes described Abudu as “one of the most powerful women in global media.” She was also named among other 100 very influential and powerful women in the world by the financial magazine.

Abudu was recognised for her outstanding contribution in the media and entertainment sectors.

The media mogul joins celebrities Rihanna, Beyoncé and others who were also named as powerful in the magazine.

Abudu’s Netflix deal is the first time an African media company signed a multi-title film and TV agreement with the production company.

Former Nigerian minister of finance and current Director-General of the World Trade Organization, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala made the list, occupying the 91st position.
