Attention-seeking Nollywood actor Uche Maduawgu has revealed that he was paid the sum of N4.8 million naira by his colleague Jim Iyke to pull a public stunt in order to promote his movie ‘Bad Comments’.

Recall that Naija Blog Gist had earlier reported that the alleged fight between Jim Iyke who attacked his colleague, Uche Maduagwu, for purportedly trolling him on social media, saying Jim Iyke’s source of wealth was suspect, was a stunt to promote his (Jim Iyke’s) new video at the time.

Jim Iyke confirmed the report after he admitted during an interview days ago with media personality, Chude Jideonwo that Uche Maduagwu was well paid for the stunt.

Uche Maduagwu has also confirmed that the fight was a publicity stunt in a post on his Instagram page on Wednesday where he called himself the biggest brand influencer in Africa.

“He paid me N3.6 million to promote ’Bad Comments movie and added N1.2 million after it went viral. I’m not just the most talked-about movie star in Africa. I’m the biggest brand influencer,” Maduagwu boasted.

“Jim Iyke is like a big brother to me. He saw potential in me. Today, ‘Bad Comments’ movie became the biggest cinema film in 2021 because he saw my brand influencing power and worked with me. Mr. Moses is a great director too. I influence brands to success because I am the most talked-about movie star for Africa,” he added.
