Popular American rapper Kanye West who now prefers to be called ‘Ye’ is currently owing the city of California the sum of $600,000 in unpaid tax debt, reports say.
Kanye West owes California $600,000 in taxes and has received three notices about unpaid fees in two years a new document making the rounds has revealed.
The multiple Grammy award-winning rapper reportedly received a tax lien notice in July 2021 and another one in September 2022 linked to his clothing brand Yeezy.

Edward McCaffery, a USC law professor told NBC: ‘Multiple California tax liens, adding up to $600,000, that’s certainly a sign of either extreme incompetence or extreme cash problems.
‘That is kind of an Amber Alert for the financial health of the enterprise,” Edward added while commenting on Kanye’s case.
