The National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB) has reportedly placed a ban on Marvel’s gay movie titled ‘Eternals’- an American superhero film based on a Marvel Comics race of the same name.

The movie produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney, which depicted a character as gay, was slated to premiere this weekend but has been yanked from cinema schedules.

According to reports, the NFVCB, in a circular, directed cinema owners to yank off the film, which is slated to debut on November 5, from screening schedules.

However, owners of some major cinemas in Nigeria are yet to comment on the sudden withdrawal of showtimes, nor has the NFVCB put a voice regarding the movie which has been banned in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Qatar.
