OGUN: 18 victims feared killed in road accident involving three vehicles

No fewer than 18 victims were feared killed around Isara Bridge on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, when two Mazda buses and a Previa bus crashed in the area.

The incident involving the three vehicles was confirmed in a statement issued on Sunday by the Corps Public Education Officer, Federal Road Safety Corps, Assistant Corps Marshal Bisi Kazeem.

According to him, the incident which was caused by over speeding happened around 10.20pm on Saturday.

“The collision of the two Mazda buses with unidentified colours and registration numbers with the Previa bus resulted in an explosion, which involved all three vehicles.

“However, seven passengers of the two Mazda buses on the right lane survived, while others were caught up in the inferno and got burnt beyond recognition.

“Those on the Previa bus, which assumedly committed the road traffic violation, got burnt beyond recognition,” he added.
