The Ogun State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of a man simply identified as Mr Jamiu for addressing married woman Opeyemi Adegbesan as “babe” in a WhatsApp chat.
The State Police Command has filed criminal charges against Sikiru Jamiu, at the Ijebu Ode magisterial district for sending “Good morning babe” to Opeyemi Adegbesan in a chat on WhatsApp.
According to the case filed on October 20, Mr Jamiu, a resident of Ijebu Ode, committed the offence at 08:02 a.m. on September 19.

Mr Jamiu is accused of conduct likely to cause a breach of peace in Mrs Opeyemi’s marriage to her husband, Akintunde Adegbesan.
