Popular Nigerian comedian Okey Bakassi has made a rallying cry to educated Nigerians who are eligible to cast their votes ahead of the 2023 general elections.
The humour merchant who made the call in a post on his social media encouraged educated Nigerians to get their PVCs stating that if votes don’t count, then politicians cannot bribe.

He also added in his post on Instagram that in Northern Nigeria, artisans and unskilled labour workers including; ‘Mai debino, Mai shayi, Mai Barrow’, gatemen and sugar cane sellers have PVCs.
Okey Bakassi therefore stated that educated Nigerians including; BSC or MSC graduates should have no reason not to have a voter card to exercise their voting rights come 2023.
