Talented stand up comedian Okon Lagos has reacted to the Lagos panel of Inquiry report on the shootings at Lekki tollgate on the 20 of October, 2020, which claimed scores of lives and left many injured.
On Monday November 15, the Justice Doris Okuwobi-led panel made available, a 309-page report which was submitted to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State which indicted security agencies in Nigeria.
In the report, the panel indicted soldiers and implicated Nigeria’s security agents in the “killing and forced disappearances of harmless and unarmed youths protesting at Lekki Tollgate on October 20, 2020”.
The report which is yet to be made public as promised by the state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, clearly found the Nigerian Army and police fired live bullets at peaceful protesters at the Lekki Tollgate on October 20, 2020.
In his reaction to the report by the Justice Doris Okuwobi-led panel, Okon Lagos said that it must be a tough job to for Lai Mohammed, the Minister of Information and Culture to defend a ‘lie.’

Recall that, Lai Mohammed had in the past always insisted that no live bullets were used by security operatives and even went on a collision course with CNN who at the time reported that several lives were lost during the protest on October, 20, 2020.
