Popular Nigerian musician, Peter Okoye of P Square has reacted after a man alleged that he defrauded him of his N7000 life savings in the guise of a giveaway on social media.
The young man had taken to Twitter to call out Okoye saying he should refund his money and that he will not have peace till he does so.
“@PeterPsquare. Oga, respect urself and refund my money. U no go see peace till u send me back my monie, insha Allah! No embarrass urself bcos of small change, send me back my monie. U wey don get, dey collect from me wey still dey hustle, ah! U no get shame. Refund my monie.” He wrote on Twitter.
Reacting to this, Peter Okoye took to his Twitter account to write ; “The fake “Peter okoye” that contacted you that he is doing a Giveaway and after you paid him for the Giveaway he disappeared! And Then you remembered to come here and accuse the real Peter Okoye’s verified account! You think say you wise! That’s what Giveaway has caused you.

“A good name is better than a bad name! These victims are so selfish and greedy! I thought Giveaway was some one Giving Away money! But how do these fraudsters convince these victims to pay for Giveaway is something I don’t understand! I will continue disclaiming it!
He added that his response is also an awareness to prevent other innocent people from falling victims in the hands of fraudsters.
“How can someone tell you to send him 7k for you to receive 140k? Does that make any sense? Abi these fraudsters they use Juju for mouth?” He wrote.
