Singer Tems opens up on experience in Ugandan prison

Popular Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, better known by her stage name Tems has opened up about her experience in a prison in Ugandan when she was arrested for violating COVID-19 guidelines.

In a post shared on Twitter, Tems revealed that while she was in prison, she sat on the floor bonding with women and children.

The singer said she could not believe some of the things that had happened in her life and praised God for his love and awesomeness.

She wrote; “This very day last year, I was sitting in prison in Uganda bonding with women and kids. I almost can’t believe the things I’ve seen so far. All I can say is God is too awesome and He will always have the last and final laugh.

On the 13th of December 2020, the Ugandan police arrested Omah Lay and Tems at an event tagged The Big Brunch, which was held at Speke Resort, Wavamunno Rd, Kampala, Uganda. After public pleas, the Nigerian government secured their release and they returned to Nigeria.
