Talented Nigerian musician Temilade Openiyi popularly known in music circles as Tems bagged her first Grammy award on Sunday, February 5, 2023.
The ‘Damages’ crooner won her maiden Grammy award for her part on Future’s hit single ‘Wait For U’ which came tops in the Best Melodic Rap performance category.

Tems bagged 3 nominations at the 65th edition of the prestigious Grammy awards held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
However, her compatriot, Damini Oguku aka Burna Boy fell short of winning two categories: the Best Global Song performance for which ‘Last Last’ was nominated and Best Global Album for which ‘Love, Damini’ was nominated.
