Popular Nigerian rapper YCee has taken to social media to declare that the blatant effort by the West to label this new COVID-19 Omicron variant as an African thing is disgusting.
The talented rap lyricist who took to his Twitter page to share his thoughts on the matter reacted after the United Kingdom government’s placement of Nigeria on its red list following the detection of the COVID-19 Omicron variant.

‘‘Honestly, I wish African countries could put up their own red list too because this blatant effort to label this new variant as an African thing is just disgusting,’’ YCee wrote on Twitter.
