The U.S. Mission has supported AFRIFF over the last five years. This year, the festival organisers were awarded a grant to conduct two workshops, one for young animators and another for post-production creatives, in collaboration with the American Film Showcase and Global Media Makers.

In addition, the Smithsonian’s National Museum for African History and Culture is joining the festival this year to deepen their ties with the Nigerian art sector.
