Well-known Senegalese-American music sensation, Chammak Challo popularly known in music circles as Akon made a surprising revelation recently, claiming to be “the stingiest man on the planet” as he believes frugality is key to maintaining his substantial wealth.
The ‘Locked Up’ crooner who made the revelation on the latest episode of the Impulsive Podcast shared valuable financial advice with colleagues and fans, particularly cautioning against the extravagant ownership of private jets as a means to “stay rich.”
Akon said; “If you want to stay rich, stay stingy. I’m the stingiest man on the planet.”

The multiple award-winning musician went on to explain his stance on being stingy by emphasizing the excessively high costs associated with private jet ownership.
He said; “Whatever you do, do not own a [private] jet. Bro, owning a jet is spending at least 2-3 million dollars a year just for upkeep [maintenance]. You spend more on the maintenance than the actual jet cost. This is the advice I give everybody.”
