On July 31, 2021, the track by Nigerian musician Ayo Balogun aka Wizkid titled ‘Essence’ which features singer Tems rose to number 67 on the Billboard Hot 100 music chart.
Wizkid has thus cracked the top 10 of US iTunes chart with the song ‘Essence’ which marks his third appearance on the charts, after ‘One Dance’ famously hit No. 1 in 2016.

The development marks a remarkable achievement for Wizkid and Tems, who are signed to the same label and for African music as a whole and it comes after the song rose to No. 72 on July 20, 2021.
