Manchester United football club of England are making moves to sack popular Portuguese striker, Cristiano Ronaldo following the attacker’s recent explosive interview with Piers Morgan.

A report by The Mirror has revealed that the prolific 37-year-old striker will not play for the English Premier League (EPL) club again, with Man United beginning the process of sacking him.

The report claims that Man United are satisfied they have grounds to terminate the forward’s deal for breach of contract, which will cost him in the region of £16m, with his current terms due to run until next June.

A club statement on Friday morning said: “Manchester United has this morning initiated appropriate steps in response to Cristiano Ronaldo’s recent media interview.

“We will not be making further comments until this process reaches its conclusion.”
