Manchester United FC has issued a statement following a damning interview by popular Portuguese striker, Cristiano Ronaldo on the Piers Morgan Uncensored on TalkTV.

Recall that the prolific striker claimed to feel “betrayed” by the Red Devils, having not been allowed to leave Old Trafford since he submitted a transfer request in the summer.

Ronaldo, who has just made four Premier League starts this season, opened up on exactly how unhappy he has been with life at the Premier League club side. 

“I don’t have respect for him because he doesn’t show respect for me,” he said with regards to Ten Hag. “If you don’t have respect for me, I’m never gonna have respect for you.”

Ronaldo also said he felt he had been “betrayed” by Man Utd and blamed for everything that has gone wrong at the club, making him feel like a “black sheep.”

Manchester United has now reacted to the interview by Cristiano Ronaldo saying the club will consider its response against the player the after the full facts have been established

“Our focus remains on preparing for the second half of the season and continuing the momentum, belief and togetherness being built among the players, manager, staff, and fans, the club noted in a statement.
