Actor Desmond Elliot reacts to backlash for reportedly constructing toilets in his constituency (Video)

Popular Nollywood actor turned politician, Desmond Elliot, has reacted to the deluge of backlash he faced over a report that he constructed toilets in his constituency.

The lawmaker who reacted to the report during an interview with TVC while answering questions on why he constructed a wooden (‘pako’) bridge for his people.

Desmond Elliot who used the platform to address the backlash he faced over seemingly constructing toilets for his people denied building the toilet for the community.

According to him, he donated the sum of N800,000 after people in the community begged him to help them reconstruct a fragile bridge and after it was completed, they reached out to him to show gratitude for his contribution.

He said: “I must say this categorically on national TV, I didn’t personally build the bridge, I didn’t put my picture up, it was done. So the community did it for good and other people took it for that.”

“The other one they said about the toilet, I have never built a toilet in my life, never built a toilet in my life!” Desmond Elliot added.
