Nollywood actor Ugezu J Ugezu is not on the same page with actress Tonto Dikeh over her campaign for the release of Ghanaian actress Akuapem Poloo who was sentenced to three months in jail for posing nude in front of her son.
In her plea, Tonto said that Akuapem who was sentenced last week for posing naked in front of her 7-year-old son to wish him a happy birthday, did wrong but said she should be given a lighter sentence.
The actor (Ugezu) who was reacting to the move by Tonto Dikeh who also called Ghanaian authorities to temper justice with mercy because Akuapem’s son needs his mother, said that there are more “devastating conditions” in Nigeria needing her voice.
However, Tonto replied, telling him that she understands his point but there’s no crime in her using her voice to call for justice to be tempered with mercy. She advised him to use his voice in doing the work other artists ignored in their bid to support a fellow artist.
