Nollywood actor Joseph Benjamin has called on his fellow colleagues in the movie industry dubbed Nollywood to be deliberate about how they choose to portray themselves to the public.

The talented thespian who made the call in a series of tweets on his official Twitter handle on Friday urged his colleagues to take their personal branding seriously and focus on being better every day.

“Actors, please hear me! Branding is about how good you are at what you do. It is not about how known you are. Focus on being better every day, not being known everywhere. Create demand around your craft. That way you will not be in everything. Place a premium on your craft,” he wrote on Twitter.

His comments come on the backdrop of rape allegations leveled against troubled Yoruba actor Baba Ijesha who has been accused of molesting a14-year-old girl seven years ago and recently.
