Controversial Yoruba actor has made good his threat to protest the continued detention of embattled thespian Baba Ijesha who has been accused of molesting a 14-year-old minor.

Yomi Fabiyi on Wednesday morning May 12 led a group of demonstrators who staged a protest in front of the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department.
The protesters were seen carrying placards and banners with different inscriptions such as ‘denial of bail of bail of bailable offence is human rights violation’, ‘Nigeria police, please allow the law to dictate to you, not Iyabo Ojo, Princess and co’, ‘release Baba Ijesha’, and ‘Nigeria police must respect human rights and honour bail for bailable offence’.

In his remarks during the protests, Yomi Fabiyi posited that the continued detention of Baba Ijesha is against his fundamental human rights and is asking the police to release him.
Baba Ijesha was arrested two months ago (March to be precise) after he was caught on CCTV molesting the 14-year-old foster daughter of comedienne, Princess who alleged in a video that the actor initially raped the victim when she was seven-years old.
