Armed bandits kill eight victims in two different communities in Katsina

No fewer than eight victims have been reportedly killed by heavily armed bandits during two separate incidents which occurred in two communities namely; Faskari Local Government Area of Katsina State.

A report by PUNCH neswpaper revealed that the armed bandits attacked Sabon Bilbis community on Friday morning, April 9 and killed four youths, in a simultaneous attack, the assailants also stormed Yar Marafa Village, in Yar Malami ward on Saturday night, April 10, and started shooting sporadically, killing four persons.

The report which gave the names of the victims as Alhaji Lawal Damfuge, Samaila Namoali, Musdafa Senior and Ado Lafate added that the gunmen stormed the village when residents were about to retire to bed in the night.

Although details surrounding the attack in Bilbis community were still sketchy, two residents, Umar Lawal and Alhaji Murtala Ibrahim posted photos of the four youths killed by the bandits.

According to Murtala Ibrahim, the body one of the deceased identified as Inusa, was found in the forest on Saturday April 10 and the victims have been buried according to Islamic rites.
