Stand-up comedian Basketmouth has urged Nigerian’s to brace up as the decision by the Federal Government of Nigeria to suspend the operations of Twitter in Nigeria is the first of many to come.
The humour merchant who made this known is video post on Instagram on Sunday pointed out that Nigerian leaders in power have been dropping hints about the ban before now.
He further alleged in the video post that the ultimate plan by the government of the day is to trying to censor Nigeria’s communication with the outside world by suspending such platforms that offer Nigerians their medium to air their views about their leaders in power.
According to him, Nigerian leaders in power might find a reason to also ban other social media platforms in times ahead.
