The new track of self-acclaimed ‘African Giant’ Damini Ogulu aka Burna Boy titled ‘Kilometre’ has now climbed to the number one spot on the United Kingdom Afrobeats music chart.
The announcement was made on the official website of the UK Afrobeats Chart Top 20 and has made the Grammy Award winner achieve a new international milestone with the song.
Burna Boy currently holds the record for the Nigerian artiste with the most number 1 songs on the UK chart and ‘Kilometre’ is a new song off his yet-to-be titled forthcoming album.
This came nearly a week after his chart topping single titled ‘Ye’ was certified Gold in the United States of America.
The cheering news was revealed by Burna Boy’s mother and manager, Mrs Bose Ogulu on her IG handle @thenamix as the song ‘Ye’ becomes the fastest Nigerian song to be certified ‘Gold’ by RIAA.
The RIAA awards certification in the US is based on the number of albums and singles sold through retail and other ancillary markets.
