A petition has been filed before the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) against Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh over alleged claims of cyberstalking and criminal defamation of her character.

The petition was filed by Dancer and social media influencer, Usiwo Orezimena Jane popularly known as Janemena who accused the actress of making unfounded claims against her person.

This came after Delta State politician; Prince Kpokpogri denied insinuations made on social media by his estranged ex-girlfriend, actress Tonto Dikeh that he once dated Janemena.

Recall that Tonto Dikeh in a post shared on her Instagram page weeks ago forewarned married dancer, Jane Mena, of her former boyfriend, Prince Kpokpogri’s alleged possession of her (Janemena’s) ‘old and very recent s3x tapes.’

The actress also alleged that Prince Kpokpogri is also in possession of s3x tapes of a lot of “other married women, celebrities and single girls too”.

However, Prince Kpokpogri later defended his friendship with the dancer, Janemena after she was alerted by Tonto Dikeh of him allegedly being in possession of her “old and recent” s3x tapes.

Janemena has now replied to Tonto Dikeh via a petition written and filed on her behalf by her solicitors, Rockson Igelige, of Felix, Igelige & Associates, describing Tonto’s claims as damaging.

The petition reads thus in part; “These malicious publications and in the context in which it was made, meant and Janemena understood it to mean the following amongst other things:

Janemena who is a married woman had and is still having an amorous or s3xual relationship with Prince Kpokpogri (referred to in the publications as Joseph Egbri) who is not Jamena’s husband. 2. Janemena is cheating on her lawful husband. 3. Janemena has s3x tapes. 4. Janemena distributes s3x tapes. 5. Janemena’s s3x tapes (old and very recent ones) are in possession of PRINCE KPOKPOGRI (Joseph Egbri) with which he will use to blackmail our client any moment from now.”

In her petition, Janemena demanded an immediate retraction of the said publications by Tonto Dikeh on her social media handles and a publication of the retraction in four national dailies in Nigeria. She also asked that the actress tenders an unreserved apology to her and pay the sum of N500,000,000 (Five Hundred Million Naira) as exemplary damages for the malicious publications.

Her lawyer also warned that legal action will be taken against Tonto if she does not meet their demands within one month of receiving the petition.

‘‘We appeal to concerned individuals and communities in cyberspace not to hastily conclude that our client is guilty of the allegations against her. Therefore, Tonto Dikeh is being given this golden opportunity to prove her allegation in court, because “he who asserts must prove same to be true” as a requirement of the law,” the petition added.
