A Personal Assistant to the head honcho of Davido Music Worldwide (DMW), Davido simply identified as Israel has taken to social media to apologise to DJ Cuppy for dropping a lawsuit earlier filed against him.
It could be recalled that on January 21, 2020, Israel DMW, a self-acclaimed friend of Zlatan’s took to his Twitter and wrote that, “Kudos to someone like Zlatan, who took a bold step, by flushing out a full fake friend like Cuppy, who was just using his head, all in his name of ‘my papa na Otedola.’
“Zlatan did a hit collabo with her, ordinary one kobo, e no see. She also took Zlatan to Abuja, for her fundraising, where she made billions of Naira, and didn’t even remember Z for one Kobo till tomorrow. No accommodation, no feeding. Zlatan had to even spend his own money at Transcorp Hilton, to [cater] for everyone including me. This na 2021 abeg”.
It didn’t take long before DJ Cuppy responded to Israel’s claims while also threatening to sue him for libel and defamation which she eventually did when her lawyers served Israel a notice.
However, DJ Cuppy later dropped the lawsuit in a post shared on her Twitter account on Friday, March 19, 2021, saying she will no longer be proceeding with the suit following Israel’s public apology.
“Following the public apology of Israel Afeare, I have decided to no longer proceed with the lawsuit and have instructed my lawyers accordingly. As social media users, I hope we can all learn from this, and ensure that we have valid facts before we speak on matters,” she tweeted.
In his thank you message, Israel wrote on Instagram saying; ”Cuppy if I say I’m not happy with the way you have finally forgiven me, that’s a big lie. I’m really happy my sister. Anything that has to do with your matter or anyone’s own, I won’t put mouth again. Thank you very much, Cuppy, thank you very much, my sister.”
