Sophia Momodu, the mother Imade, the first child of Nigerian singer David Adeleke aka Davido has revealed why she cried when she realised her daughter’s last name wasn’t going to be ‘Momodu’.
The mother of one, who took to her Instastory to share the revelation, said that she argued and cried because Imade got all her father’s name and not a “single letter” from hers.
She said that her mum and aunties were laughing at her when she was crying because my daughter’s last name wasn’t going to be Momodu” while also adding that she pulled “all her feminist card” because it was quite painful to her.
Sophia wrote thus; “I remember when my mum and aunties were laughing at me when I was crying because my daughter’s last name wasn’t going to be Momodu”.
“I was genuinely distraught; I was even arguing and everything that they put her father’s full names and not a single letter from my name. I pulled out my feminist card and everything.
“E pain me gan that year shaaaa, awwwww,” she noted.
