Falz joins father, Falana, others to protest against insecurity, poverty in Nigeria

Nigerian rapper cum activist, Folarin Falana aka Falz ‘the band guy’ joined his father, Femi Falana (a human rights lawyer) and other concerned citizens in a rally tagged, ‘Enough is Enough’, to protest against insecurity and poverty in Nigeria.

Under the aegis of the Peoples Alternative Political Movement, the demonstrators took to the streets of Lagos on Monday, May 31, 2021, in their numbers to show their concern at the state of the nation.
The protests which lasted for several hours saw youths marching from Ikeja Bus Stop to the Governor’s Office through the Secretariat to the Lagos State House of Assembly with several of ththelacards which read, ‘No to Exploitation and Multiple Taxation’, ‘Provide Jobs or Unemployment Benefits for Youths’, ‘Provide Security in Schools’, ‘End Kidnapping and Banditry’ and ‘Stop Killings, Secure Nigeria’.
Similarly, Nigerian humour merchant cum activist Debo Adebayo professionally known as Mr Macaroni declared hours ago that Nigeria does not have leaders instead; the country is being led by tyrants in power.
The comedian who made the declaration in a post on his official Twitter handle @DeboMacaroni while reacting to the current state of the country said that the government has failed woefully in protecting the lives of the people.
Mr Macaroni further blasted the government of the day tagging them ‘irresponsible’ while also accusing leaders of using the Same Police responsible for the safety of Nigerians to oppress Nigerians.
He wrote: ”The Nigerian Government has failed woefully in protecting the lives of the people. As irresponsible as they are, they use the Same Police responsible for the safety of Nigerians to oppress Nigerians. We don’t have Leaders. We have Tyrants in government!!!”
“We don’t have Leaders. We have Tyrants in government,” the comedian declared.
