The family of popular rapper Earl Simmons better known in music circles as DMX (Dark Man X) is facing a tough decision at the moment regarding whether or not to keep him on life support.
Reports say brain function of the Hip Hop icon has reportedly remained unchanged nearly a week after he was hospitalised after an alleged drug overdose triggered a heart attack.
According to TMZ, The 50-year-old, who is still on life support at the White Plains Hospital in New York underwent critical brain function tests on Wednesday, April 7.
The battery of tests performed on the rapper showed no improvement in brain activity since he was rushed to the hospital after suffering a drug overdose late Friday night, April 2, the report by TMZ added.
The publication also said the test results were “not good” and that his family has a tough decision to make regarding whether or not to keep X on life support.
This came a day after the New York rapper reportedly tested positive for the dreaded COVID-19 disease while in hospital fighting for his life.
According to VladTV, X’s manager Steve Rifkind said he tested positive for COVID-19 while in the hospital.
