A day after responding to speculation on social media about an alleged affair with Chioma, the now estranged fiancé of ‘Davido, music artist, Tobechukwu Victor Okoh, popularly known as Peruzzi has squealed that feeding off the ‘Skelewu’ crooner’s energy (Davido) has helped his career.
Peruzzi who opened up to on the latest episode of #WithChude hosted by Chude Jideonwo, also revealed how he was able to give his new single the publicity it needed despite the shocking news of his mother’s death.
He disclosed that his music business acumen could be credited to award-winning musician, Davido. “When I met David, the only thing I knew was how to write songs. I didn’t know any other thing but now, I know the music business. I used to be a very shy person and David used to tell me, ‘when I’m walking, don’t be at the back, walk beside me.’
“I lived with him for 2 years and was collecting the energy every morning and that made me realise that this is where you’re supposed to be no matter how long it took you, you’re finally where you’re supposed to be.”
As one who is not new to rumours, Perruzi still gets shocked once in a while when absurd stories are shared on social media. Speaking on the most interesting one he has heard so far, Perruzi said, “Someone said I had sex with the wife of the man who helped me. Do you know how crazy that is? Even if you hate me, what did Davido do to you? So right now, I am careful of every pin that drops near me.”
