Femi Kuti, son of late Afrobeat legend Fela Anikulapo Kuti will team up with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin to co-curate Fela Boxset 5, with a new extended version of ‘Original Sufferhead’ already shared.
The set dubbed ‘Vinyl Box #5’ which is expected to ship and will be available for preorder in the month of December will feature seven of the late singer’s albums including ‘Why Black Man Dey Suffer’, ‘Noise For Vendor Mouth’, ‘Excuse O’, ‘Kalakuta Show’, ‘Ikoyi Blindness’, ‘Original Sufferhead’ and ‘Overtake Don Overtake Overtake’.

The collection will also feature a 20-page full-colour booklet featuring introductions by Martin and Femi Kuti, seven in-depth commentaries on each album by veteran music journalist and Afrobeat historian, Chris May, song lyrics, never before published photos of Fela Kuti and stills taken from the 1982 documentary titled ‘Music Is The Weapon’.
