One of the richest women in Africa, Folorunsho Alakija has explained why social media apps is making it difficult to establish genuine connections and build lasting relationships in present times.

The businesswoman and philanthropist in a post on her official Facebook page said that after years of guiding young people toward building healthy relationships, she knows first-hand how challenging it can be to find the right partner.

She however noted that social media, dating apps, and the fast-paced culture in our world today have made it even more difficult to build lasting relationships.

According to her, it’s easy to lose sight of what really matters in a relationship because we are in a world where we’re constantly bombarded with many options.
