Frank Edoho slams Seyi Shay for criticising contestant during Nigerian Idol audition

Popular TV show host, Frank Edoho has taken a swipe at the judges of the ongoing Nigeria Idol musical reality TV show over demoralising comments passed on those who auditioned for the contest.

Frank Edoho who was reacting to singer Seyi Shay’s harsh criticism of a 17-year-old boy who had auditioned for the show described the judges listed for the auditioning as ‘trash’.

Edoho, in an apparent reaction on Twitter, said, “I think the judges of Nigerian Idol should be calming down. They are a tad harsh. #nigerianidol.”

His comments came after music wannabe who was criticised during his audition by Seyi Shay reacted to the comments directed at him by the singer who is also a judge of the reality TV show.

Speaking for the first time after he was criticised by Seyi Shay during his audition in a video that went viral; Ayo Torrus who didn’t get positive feedback from the judges after his performance said that Seyi Shay’s comments broke him down emotionally.

He retweeted the video of Seyi giving him feedback after his audition and wrote: “This broke me Emotionally and Psychologically, but God got me !!”

Seyi Shay said to him after his performance: “Somebody lied to you and told you to come and audition, and that person, you should go back and tell them they’re not your friends because that was not a good audition.

“Oh, you have a good talking voice, and it comes out in your singing voice, but your performance, terrible. You’re never going to make money being a singer,” she added.
