The Lagos State Police Command has informed that it has earnestly begun investigations into the death of Kambilichukwu, the 16-year-old son of Nollywood actor Yul Edochie.
This was confirmed in a statement issued on Friday by the spokesperson for the police in the state, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, while confirming the death of Kambilichukwu.
SP Benjamin Hundeyin added in the statement that the actor reported the death of his son to the command and the matter will be forwarded to the State Criminal Investigation Department on Friday, March 31, for further investigation.

Reports say that Kambilichukwu suddenly developed a seizure in school while playing football with his friends after writing his 2nd term exams on Wednesday.
Kambilichukwu had read throughout the night on Tuesday in preparation for his exams and was immediately rushed to the Mother and Child hospital where he was confirmed dead.
His death comes months after he celebrated his 16th birthday on January 16, 2023.
