The controversial Lil Nas X “Satan Shoes” that have generated mixed reactions across the internet has raked in over $600k in cash after all of its limited 666 pairs sold out in one minute.

The “Satan Shoes” which is being promoted by the American musician were priced at $1,018 for a pair, a price that makes biblical allusion to Luke 10:18 which reads thus: “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.”

And despite the religious controversy around the new collection spearheaded by the singer who has announced that he is gay; all exclusive 666 pairs of the sneakers sold almost immediately after its release yesterday, hence, making $677,988 in 1 minute.

In a CNN report, MSCHF confirmed on March 29 that the limited-edition “drop” of 666 pairs sold out in less than a minute whilst Nike confirmed that its outfit was not involved in creating the modified sneakers.

This came after Nike has slammed a legal suit against the firm (MSCHF) that created the controversial Lil Nas X “Satan Shoes” that have generated mixed reactions across the internet.

Nike in a suit filed on Monday accuses MSCHF Product Studio, Inc. of trademark infringement over the designer’s 666 pairs of modified Nike sneakers made in collaboration with the “Old Town Road” singer.

In the legal complaint, Nike (NKE) asked the court to order MSCHF to “permanently stop” fulfilling orders for the “unauthorized” Lil Nas X Satan Shoes. The lawsuit notes that social media users have threatened to boycott Nike over the controversial shoes.
