The first son of Nigerian supermodel Oluchi Onweagba has been snapped up by one of the top racing teams in the world, McLaren Racing.
The development was confirmed on Monday by Oluchi who celebrated the signing of her first son Ugo Ugochukwu,13, by the racing team.
“Thank you, GOD! Angels in the heavenly Thank you! Watch over your Son. @ugougochukwu It’s beyond us.”
Ugochukwu also took to Instagram to announce the news, writing: “Thank you Mr Zak Brown and the entire Mclaren team for believing in me. Together, we will get there.”
According to reports, Ugochukwu who represents the United States has been winning racing awards since he was as young as age 8.
He has won a slew of titles in the United States and Europe and most recently won the 2020 FIA OKJ European Championship.
This caught the attention of McLaren, the same racing team that signed a young Lewis Hamilton, who has gone on to dominate the world of Formula One.
