Mavin Global artiste, Reekado Banks has decried the spate of insecurity in Nigeria stating that Nigeria is on the brink of a civil war & politicians are doing everything to enable it.
The ‘Rora’ crooner who took to his official Twitter page to share his frustration on Monday, April 26, 2021 said that citizens must do everything to champion peace in the country.
“Nigeria is on the brink of a civil war & the politicians are doing everything to enable it because their schemes thrive in havoc & when there’s a divide,” he tweeted.
“As citizens, who will suffer the most from this impending disaster, we must do everything within our power to champion peace.”
The singer’s comments came hours after R&B singer Bankole Wellington aka Banky W took to social media to lament the state of insecurity in Nigeria as he decried the continuous bad news coming out of the country each day.
The music executive who spilled his guts on his official Twitter account on Tuesday said that Nigerians are now numb to the bad news coming from different sections of the country.
The former head honcho of Empire Mates Entertainment (EME) further added in the post on the micro-blogging site that “it’s like we are in an abusive relationship with the country we love.”
